Filming on Thursday 3rd December 2009
Time was against us as we rushed to our location to film the famous 'Prayer Scene.' We knew that we had a lot of setting up to do and that our time was limited to just an hour or so. When we reached the house, we realised that we had to move the furniture to isolate the setting. Our aim was to create an eerie atmosphere with hundreds of candles surrounding Elizabeth's late mother's picture. This picture was photoshopped in order to give it an 'antique' touch. We then had to set up the tripod with the dolly. Our rotating shot required stability and slow movement. We achieved this by having one person control the camera whilst the other pushes the dolly across the room. It wasn't as easy as we thought it would be but we did a lot of takes just in case the shot didn't present well. We included this shot to highlight the religious theme of the movie/trailer. This is an important concept of our trailer as it is dominantly based on exorcism.
